As the weather turns cooler, many in our community face extra challenges—especially those without a warm home or steady meals. This season is the perfect time to share kindness in a simple, practical way.
One easy idea is to make Blessing Bags—care packages you can keep in your car to share when you see someone in need. They’re fun to put together, and even more rewarding to give!
What to include:
- Toothbrush & toothpaste
- Travel-size tissues or antibacterial wipes
- Tylenol or bandages
- Juice box or bottled water
- Granola bars, peanuts, or crackers & cheese packs
- Socks (warm ones are best!)
- Knit cap or beanie
- Lip balm
- Deodorant
- Lotion
- Small gift card (Subway, McDonald’s, etc.)
- A GLOW tract or encouraging Bible verse
Pack everything neatly into a gallon-size Ziploc bag and tuck in a handwritten note that says:
YOU MATTER!
Here are a few things to brighten your day. I just want you to know that we care—and that you matter to God.
